131. זֶה הוּא שֶׁאָמַר רַבִּי יְהוּדָה, כָּךְ דַּרְכּוֹ שֶׁל צַדִּיק: כֵּיוָן שֶׁרוֹאֶה שֶׁמְּעַיְּנִים בְּדִינוֹ, אֵינוֹ מִתְאַחֵר לָשׁוּב וּלְהִתְפַּלֵּל וּלְהַקְרִיב [עַל] חֶלְבּוֹ וְדָמוֹ לִפְנֵי צוּרוֹ, עַד שֶׁמִּסְתַּלְּקִים בַּעֲלֵי הַדִּין מִמֶּנּוּ.

\nRabbi Yehuda explains that when a Tzadik sees that the other side<\/a> examines his past, looking for ways to inflict judgment, he rushes to repent, pray and fast to make his body as offering to HaShem<\/a> until judgments are removed.<\/p>\n

\nGenesis 18:2<\/a>
\n“וַיִּשָּׂא עֵינָיו, וַיַּרְא, וְהִנֵּה שְׁלֹשָׁה אֲנָשִׁים, נִצָּבִים עָלָיו; וַיַּרְא, וַיָּרָץ לִקְרָאתָם מִפֶּתַח הָאֹהֶל, וַיִּשְׁתַּחוּ, אָרְצָה”
\n“He lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold; three men were standing in front of him. When he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself to the earth.”
\nThe Zohar refers to Abraham as the aspect of the soul. He ran to Sarah without delays, meaning that the soul hurries to the body to bring it back to the right path; the soul looks for ways to atone for the sins until the pending judgments are removed. <\/p>\n

\n“וְאַבְרָהָם וְשָׂרָה זְקֵנִים בָּאִים בַּיָּמִים חָדַל לִהְיוֹת לְשָׂרָה אֹרַח כַּנָּשִׁים.”
\n“Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age, and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing.”
\nRabbi Elazar explains the verse above saying, since the soul preserves its level, the body stays below for many years until the soul no longer needs to come and go into this world. The reincarnation process stops for the soul, and it awaits the day of the Resurrection.<\/p>\n
