134. מַהוּ אוֹמֵר אַחֲרֵי בְלוֹתִי הָיְתָה לִּי עֶדְנָה? אַחֲרֵי בְלוֹתִי בֶּעָפָר מֵהַיּוֹם כַּמָּה שָׁנִים, הָיְתָה לִּי עֶדְנָה וְחִדּוּשׁ. וַאדֹנִי זָקֵן, שֶׁהַיּוֹם כַּמָּה שָׁנִים שֶׁיָּצָאת מִמֶּנּוּ וְלֹא הִפְקִידַנִי.<\/p>\n

135. וְהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא אָמַר, הֲיִפָּלֵא מֵה’ דָּבָר לַמּוֹעֵד. מַהוּ לַמּוֹעֵד? אוֹתוֹ הַיָּדוּעַ אֶצְלִי לְהַחֲיוֹת מֵתִים. וּלְשָׂרָה בֵן, מְלַמֵּד שֶׁיִּתְחַדֵּשׁ כְּבֶן שָׁלֹשׁ שָׁנִים.<\/p>\n

136. אָמַר רַבִּי יְהוּדָה בְּרַבִּי סִימוֹן, כֵּיוָן שֶׁהַנְּשָׁמָה נִזּוֹנֵית מִזִּיוָהּ שֶׁל מַעְלָה, הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא אוֹמֵר לְאוֹתוֹ הַמַּלְאָךְ הַנִּקְרָא דוּמָ”ה: לֵךְ וּבַשֵּׂר לְגוּף פְּלוֹנִי שֶׁאֲנִי עָתִיד לְהַחֲיוֹתוֹ לַֻמּוֹעֵד שֶׁאֲנִי אֲחַיֶּה אֶת הַצַּדִּיקִים לֶעָתִיד לָבֹא. וְהוּא מֵשִׁיב: אַחֲרֵי בְלוֹתִי הָיְתָה לִּי עֶדְנָה? אַחֲרֵי בְלוֹתִי בֶּעָפָר וְשָׁכַנְתִּי בָּאֲדָמָה, וְאָכַל בְּשָׂרִי רִמָּה וְגוּשׁ עָפָר, תִּהְיֶה לִי חִדּוּשׁ?.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n“וַתִּצְחַק שָׂרָה בְּקִרְבָּהּ לֵאמֹר אַחֲרֵי בְלֹתִי הָיְתָה לִּי עֶדְנָה וַאדֹנִי זָקֵן.”
\n“Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, “After I am worn out, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?”<\/p>\n

He asks what is the meaning of “After I am worn out, shall I have pleasure”, and explains that ‘after I am worn out’ is the decay process in the grave, and after years comes ‘the pleasure’ that is the renewal of the soul. <\/p>\n

\nThe Holy One Blessed be He says Genesis 18:14<\/a>
\n“הֲיִפָּלֵא מֵיְהוָה דָּבָר לַמּוֹעֵד אָשׁוּב אֵלֶיךָ כָּעֵת חַיָּה וּלְשָׂרָה בֵן.”
\n“Is anything too hard for YHVH<\/a>? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”
\nThe ‘appointed time’ is the known time of the Resurrection. ‘And Sarah shall have a son’ tells that Sarah will have a son that would come to life as a three years old.<\/p>\n

\nRabbi Yehuda, son of Rabbi Simon, said, since the soul is nourished from the radiance of light from above, the Holy One Blessed Be He tells the angel Dumah<\/a>, go and give a message to a certain body, that I will revive it in a future time when I bring the righteous to life. And he replies, after I had worn out, I had a rejuvenation.
\nAfter spending time in the dirt, and dwelling in the ground, with worms and dust, I will have a renewal.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nOur souls work like Abraham in this world to do good and earn merits for the resurrection and renewal of soul and body.
\nThe angel Dumah<\/a> is responsible to register everybody put in the ground, and when the time comes, Hashem<\/a> will command him to let the ones with merits to stand up for Resurrection.<\/p>\n
