This is the additional meaning for &ldquo;God tested Abraham.&rdquo; It was done to elevate the &lsquo;flags&rsquo; of the righteous and be recognized worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Lesson;<br>\nOne of the essential steps in the spiritual growth process of a person is understanding that the challenges we go through in life are either for our correction, meaning paying debts from previous lives and for cleansing our souls. These challenges provide us with new rungs on our spiritual ladder so we can continue climbing up.<br>\nSince life in this world is temporary, the real work is for the rewards that the soul receives in the immortal state, in the heavens above, and at the Resurrection. Until then, we accept the challenges and move forward, doing the best we can. Even if we are gifted with wealth and relatively easy life, we should consider this a test. Some may think that as wealthy people, they are rewarded and don&rsquo;t need to make spiritual efforts. Having wealth is a gift from <a class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;hashem&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;&amp;#039;Hashem&amp;#039; is a reference to the name of YHVH.We say Hashem &amp;#039;the Name&amp;#039; instead of the actual call to &amp;#039;YHVH&amp;#039; that is not allowed except when we read the Torah in full verses or in blessings.&lt;\/div&gt;\" href=\"https:\/\/staging.dailyzohar.com\/?glossary=hashem\" data-gt-translate-attributes=\"[{&quot;attribute&quot;:&quot;data-cmtooltip&quot;, &quot;format&quot;:&quot;html&quot;}]\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Hashem<\/a> and, at the same time, a big test.
