Genesis 1:27<\/a>
\n“וַיִּבְרָא אֱלֹהִים אֶת-הָאָדָם בְּצַלְמוֹ, בְּצֶלֶם אֱלֹהִים בָּרָא אֹתוֹ…”
\n“And God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him”<\/p>\n

The Zohar explains that the ‘Image’ is the aspect of the precept of using the Tefilin (Phylacteries). The head piece that is made from one uncut leather piece has four chambers. It contains four small scrolls with sections from the Torah that is hand written by a special scribe on a parchment, like on the Torah scroll. The four chambers connect us to the upper name of YHVH<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One continuous strap holds it on the top of the forehead, surrounding the head and meets at the base of the skull where the middle brain extends into the spine. A special knot closes the circle of the head and makes two lines from the one strap that comes to the front of the body.<\/p>\n

The left one should reach to or below the heart level. The right one should extend below the diaphragm and the belly button.<\/p>\n

The arm piece has one chamber with one scroll and a strap that is wrapped around the arm 7 or 10 times, all the way down to the middle finger where it is wrapped around like a ring. This represents the Holy ‘wedding’ of the Light and the Shechina. The house with the scroll of the arm should point toward the heart.<\/p>\n

With this item that is made on a physical level but with spiritual technology, we connect to the ‘Image’ of God. We use it in the mornings of regular weekdays to draw the light of chassadim<\/a> that appears in the world. <\/p>\n
