Tikkun 47 <\/strong>– 11<\/p>\n

The meals of Shabbat are very important spiritual connections. They connect us to the light of Binah<\/a> and bring it down to our life in the Malchut<\/a> level. We use two Challah bread to join the right and left column<\/a>. The Holy Ari used 12 Challahs as it was done in the Holy Temple, to connect the 12 paths of the tree of Life<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The blessing itself has ten words for the ten Sefirot.
\n“ברוך אתה ה’ א‑לוהינו מלך העולם, המוציא לחם מן הארץ.‏”
\n“Blessed are You, LORD, our God, King of the universe, Who brings forth bread from the earth”.<\/p>\n

The first six words create and open the channel from Binah<\/a> to Malchut<\/a>. The first letter H of המוציא, taps into Binah<\/a> and the last H of הארץ connects to Malchut<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Challa should be braided to join the three columns<\/a> into one. It should contain eggs that are the aspect of the vessel and the power of continuation.<\/p>\n

Exodus 31:14<\/a> “וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם, אֶת-הַשַּׁבָּת, כִּי קֹדֶשׁ הִוא, לָכֶם; מְחַלְלֶיהָ, מוֹת יוּמָת”
\n“Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore, for it is holy unto you; every one that profaneth it shall surely be put to death” (Please ignore the English translation, it is close to the literal meaning but totally off from the spiritual meaning).<\/p>\n

The Shabbat is Holy for us because we can connect to the Light of Binah<\/a> that is the source of life. God warned Adam not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge Good and bad; “…the day that you eat from it you shall surely die.”<\/p>\n

As we know, God did not kill Adam and doesn’t kill all the people that don’t keep Shabbat. The element of Death for Adam was disconnection from the Garden of Eden where there was no death. He was sent out into a world where there is good and bad, death and work to earn the light and the continuation of life.<\/p>\n

Shabbat is our Tree of Life<\/a> connection. The best way to keep it, is to stop all actions that CREATE new things. The Shabbat rest is not about physical rest, it is about resting the creative force in us in order to have maximum affinity with Binah<\/a> in order to be able to draw its light that is available only on Shabbat.<\/p>\n

We should not cook a new meal because it is the aspect of making NEW. It is okay to chop a fresh salad because we do not change the ingredients’ original state. We should not set new fire but we can use a fire source that was prepared before Shabbat.<\/p>\n

If we create new or change the nature of matter, then we disconnect ourselves from the light of Binah<\/a>, which is life. When we read the Zohar, we connect to the energy of Life even during the week but on Shabbat it is 1000 times higher.<\/p>\n

Reading or scanning Zohar during Shabbat meals is a great way to connect and transform the light of Binah<\/a> to our food and life.<\/p>\n
