Tikkun 50<\/strong> – 1<\/p>\n

“In the Beginning God Created…”, Rabbi Shimon connects us here to three patriarchs that are the chariots for the three columns<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The world was created where everything was ‘unformed and void’.
\nThe Torah we have come after the first tablets broke because of ‘unformed and void’ spiritual state of the people.<\/p>\n

The earth was originally populated by “עֲמָלֵקִים, גִּבּוֹרִים, נְפִילִים, עֲנָקִים, רְפָאִים”
\nAmalekim (Amalek, Exodus 17:8<\/a>), Giborim (Mighty, Ezekiel 32:27<\/a>), Nephilim (Giants, Numbers 13:33<\/a>), Anakim (Giants, Deuteronomy 2:10<\/a>), Rephaim (Deuteronomy 2:20<\/a>).<\/p>\n

These are five types of nations that the Erev Rav (Mix multitude) inherited their souls from. They represent 5 aspects of negativity. Their main purpose is about going against the people on the path with the light. They have the strongest desires for the self and wish to dominate their environment.<\/p>\n

Isaiah 45:18<\/a>
\n“כִּי כֹה אָמַר-יְהוָה בּוֹרֵא הַשָּׁמַיִם הוּא הָאֱלֹהִים, יֹצֵר הָאָרֶץ וְעֹשָׂהּ הוּא כוֹנְנָהּ–לֹא-תֹהוּ בְרָאָהּ, לָשֶׁבֶת יְצָרָהּ; אֲנִי יְהוָה, וְאֵין עוֹד”
\n“For thus saith the YHVH<\/a> that created the heavens, He is God; that formed the earth and made it, He established it, He created it not a waste, He formed it to be inhabited: I am YHVH<\/a>, and there is none else”<\/p>\n

From this verse that the Zohar brings, we learn that every thing is planned ahead and all of these were made to challenge us in all aspects of life.<\/p>\n

Connection to the three columns<\/a> of the spiritual system is the power to break their influence on us. The Zohar and the Torah show us the way. We live among those people of the Erev Rav. They are the leaders of society and control our material existence. They wish to control and take away the light of our work from us, for their own purpose and satisfaction.<\/p>\n

To stay on the path, we should focus on the target and know that at the end there will be a state of existence described in the last words of the verse “I am YHVH<\/a>, and there is none else”. All sustenance will come from the light, those that depend on their material existence will fall into total darkness and the ones that have their work and goals to find the light will enjoy it forever. As it said in Exodus 10:23<\/a>, when the plague of darkness hit the Egyptians, “but all the children of Israel<\/a> had light in their dwellings.” <\/p>\n
