Some say that the man gathering wood was Zelophehad because it is written, &ldquo;He died because of his own sin&rdquo; (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sefaria.org\/Numbers.27.3?lang=bi&amp;with=all&amp;lang2=en\" target=\"_blank\">Numbers 27:3<\/a>). And I learned that on the day my father (Rabbi Yossi) fell sick in his house. I saw what I saw, and my father commanded me not to reveal it. And I learned that many died in the desert, not only for the sin of Korach or for the sin of the spies when the decree was made that they all will die in the desert.
