He would follow his jenny to have the evil spirit with him. And answers that they were under the authority of the above. We learned that the way a person wants to go, he is led. In the beginning, it is written, you shall not go with them, but since the Holy One Blessed be He saw that Balaam&rsquo;s will was to go. All that night, he pondered and said, &ldquo;What then is my honor if I am bound by one bond, that is, by the permission of the Highest?&rdquo;.
