The rulers from east to west were afraid of his might, but it never occurred to him to deviate from the righteous path. He always humbled his heart before his Master. When he was engaged in the Torah, he would put in his strength to study, and his eyes were always lowered to the ground in fear of his Master. When he was walking among the people, he had no rudeness at all.<\/p>\n<p>#144<br>\nAnd on this, it is written, &ldquo;<a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;YHVH&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;The Holy Name&lt;\/div&gt;\"  href=\"https:\/\/staging.dailyzohar.com\/?glossary=yhvh\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex='0' role='link'>YHVH<\/a>, my heart is not lifted.&rdquo; Despite the fact that I am king and ruler over all the other kings of the world, my eyes did not deceive me while I was standing before you engaged in the Torah.<br>\nKing David said while I walk among the people, &ldquo;I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me.&rdquo;<br>\nThe elder continues, if King David said that, even more so with the rest of the world. How lowly is my heart, and my eyes are lowered before the Holy King? God forbid that I take pride in the holy words of the Torah.
