But where are these seven times seven years? Shouldn&rsquo;t Jacob have worked forty-nine years for Leah, corresponding to the years of Jubilee?&rdquo;<br>\nThe answer is: These are the seven days of the wedding feast of Leah, as it is written: &ldquo;&#1502;&#1463;&#1500;&#1461;&#1468;&#1488; &#1513;&#1456;&#1473;&#1489;&#1467;&#1506;&#1463; &#1494;&#1465;&#1488;&#1514;&rdquo; &ldquo;Complete the week of this one&rdquo; (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sefaria.org\/Genesis.29.27?lang=bi&amp;with=all&amp;lang2=en\" target=\"_blank\">Genesis 29:27<\/a>). These seven days completed the count of forty-nine because each day is considered one full seven. As it is written: &ldquo;&#1513;&#1473;&#1462;&#1489;&#1463;&#1506; &#1489;&#1468;&#1463;&#1497;&#1468;&#1493;&#1465;&#1501; &#1492;&#1460;&#1500;&#1468;&#1463;&#1500;&#1456;&#1514;&#1468;&#1460;&#1497;&#1498;&#1464; &#1506;&#1463;&#1500; &#1502;&#1460;&#1513;&#1473;&#1456;&#1508;&#1468;&#1456;&#1496;&#1461;&#1497; &#1510;&#1460;&#1491;&#1456;&#1511;&#1462;&#1498;&#1464;&rdquo; &ldquo;Seven times a day I praise You&rdquo; (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sefaria.org\/Psalms.119.164?lang=bi&amp;with=all&amp;lang2=en\" target=\"_blank\">Psalms 119:164<\/a>), where each individual day encompasses and includes all seven. Thus, every day of the wedding feast corresponds to a complete cycle of seven, making seven times seven, which amounts to forty-nine, the count of the years of the Jubilee.<\/p>\n<p>#142<br>\nAs for Rachel, it was different from Leah, for Jacob did not observe seven days of feasting for her (after the wedding). Instead, he worked seven years for her after their marriage. If you ask: &ldquo;Shouldn&rsquo;t Jacob have worked two full sabbatical cycles (14 years) beforehand, as he did for Leah (the Jubilee) and then united with Rachel, who corresponds to the Shemitta?&rdquo;&mdash;the answer is:<br>\nSince Jacob accepted upon himself to work for her, it was considered as if he had already completed the work, and the seven sefirot needed for Rachel were drawn to him immediately.<br>\nRabbi Abba came, kissed him, and said, &ldquo;Blessed is the Merciful One, for I have merited to understand this verse.&rdquo; Regarding this place&mdash;from the chest of <a class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Zeir Anpin&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Literally means &amp;#039;Small Face&amp;#039;. It represents the Six Sefirot, Chessed, Gevurah, Tiferet, Netzach, Hod, and Yessod. The Light from the upper three Sefirot of Chokmah, Binah, and Da&amp;#039;at comes to Malchut through Zeir Anpin.The Torah is Zeir Anpin, a channel that connects us to the upper three Sefirot through Binah. Our connection to Zeir Anpin is through Yessod by studying the Torah on all levels.
