These matters were not entrusted to just anyone&mdash;they were given only to the true Tzadkim to understand and to learn great wisdom.<br>\n#185<br>\n&ldquo;This is the book of the generations of man&rdquo; (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sefaria.org\/Genesis.5.1?lang=bi&amp;with=all&amp;lang2=en\" target=\"_blank\">Genesis 5:1<\/a>). From time to time, according to a person&rsquo;s deeds, new markings are inscribed and altered upon them, from one time to another. When the spirit of holiness (<a class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Soul levels&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Soul levels&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Nefesh&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt; is the lower level of Light in the body but is the most important to sustain the life of a person. The Liver is the control center of the Nefesh in the body.&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Ruach&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt; is higher and comes from Zeir Anpin. We achieve this additional light in this world by following the ways of the Torah with the general rule &amp;quot;Do good and avoid bad&rdquo;. The Heart is the center for the Ruach.&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Neshama&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt; is the highest level of Light that can be achieved in this world. Righteous people that already have the level of Ruach and act selflessly for the benefit of others, can achieve the level of Neshama. Since it&rsquo;s the highest level, it connects to the brain.The higher-level of the soul controls the level below it. Neshamah and Ruach can leave the person if he loses the righteous path. The level of Nefesh is removed only at the time of death, meaning when the heart stops and there is no blood circulation in the body.The other two levels of the soul are Chaya and Yechida, but they can only connect to the soul outside the body because their level of purity can not have a physical connection in this world.&lt;\/div&gt;\" href=\"https:\/\/staging.dailyzohar.com\/?glossary=soul-levels\" data-gt-translate-attributes=\"[{&quot;attribute&quot;:&quot;data-cmtooltip&quot;, &quot;format&quot;:&quot;html&quot;}]\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Ruach<\/a> HaKodesh) dwells within a person, so does their appearance, producing markings that reflect the spirit upon them from the outside.<\/p>\n<p>Notes:<br>\nA person&rsquo;s external appearance reflects their spiritual state&mdash;it changes according to their deeds. When holiness resides within someone, it leaves an imprint on their face and body, visible even to those who can perceive such things.
