The Liver is the control center of the Nefesh in the body.&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Ruach&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt; is higher and comes from Zeir Anpin. We achieve this additional light in this world by following the ways of the Torah with the general rule &amp;quot;Do good and avoid bad&rdquo;. The Heart is the center for the Ruach.&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Neshama&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt; is the highest level of Light that can be achieved in this world. Righteous people that already have the level of Ruach and act selflessly for the benefit of others, can achieve the level of Neshama. Since it&rsquo;s the highest level, it connects to the brain.The higher-level of the soul controls the level below it. Neshamah and Ruach can leave the person if he loses the righteous path. Each night, it leaves and visits the soul (of the deceased husband) and then returns to its place. After twelve months, when the judgment of the man (her deceased husband) has been completed&mdash;for during all these twelve months, the soul is feeling low in sadness throughout the day&mdash;then after twelve months, the soul leaves her, departs from the woman, and goes to stand at the gate of Gan Eden. From there, it continues to visit the vessel from which it came&mdash;meaning the woman&mdash;in this world.
