1 Kings 5:10<\/a>
\n“וַתֵּרֶב חָכְמַת שְׁלֹמֹה, מֵחָכְמַת כָּל-בְּנֵי-קֶדֶם, וּמִכֹּל, חָכְמַת מִצְרָיִם”
\n“And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east, and all the wisdom of Egypt.”<\/p>\n

King Solomon was assigned by his father to build the first Holy Temple. That work connected him to the Sefirah of Chokmah<\/a> (Wisdom) and made him the wisest person in the world.<\/p>\n

The Zohar refers to these two verses to teach us the levels of connecting to wisdom. The spiritual connection to the level of Chokmah<\/a> is the higher level. It is called true wisdom because it connects us to the central column, which is truth.
\nIn addition, it opens ‘windows’ in the mind to see beyond the illusion of the five senses. <\/p>\n

At the end of his days, King Solomon disconnected himself from the true light of the Holy Temple. He had 700 wives and some of them were from the negative side. He let them have control over his spiritual connections and that caused him to fall from the true wisdom he had. He found himself in a state that he himself defined as ‘poor wisdom’ that the people despised, because it was poor in spiritual connection.<\/p>\n

Ecclesiastes 9:16<\/a> (This book is applied to King Solomon and was written after his Fall.)
\n“וְאָמַרְתִּי אָנִי, טוֹבָה חָכְמָה מִגְּבוּרָה; וְחָכְמַת הַמִּסְכֵּן בְּזוּיָה, וּדְבָרָיו אֵינָם נִשְׁמָעִים”
\n“Then said I: ‘Wisdom is better than strength; nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.’”<\/p>\n

Our desire to draw pleasure from the material world connects us strongly to the illusions and lies of this world. Actions that connect us to the spiritual system will benefit us with seeing the truth and greater and lasting pleasures on the spiritual level.<\/p>\n

The great Kabbalist who brought the world closer to the Zohar, Rabbi Ashlag, teaches us that Kabbalah and Zohar are ‘The Wisdom of Truth’.
\nThe Zohar is the tool that can get us to the level of Chokmah<\/a> where we can see the truth in this world.<\/p>\n
