I found in it one thousand four hundred and five types of impurity by which human beings become defiled. Ashmedai revealed this to King Solomon.
\n#368
\nWoe to them, to human beings, for they are all blocked and blind in their eyes. They do not know, they do not hear, and they do not pay attention to how they exist in the world. And behold, counsel and healing are before them, yet they do not look. For human beings cannot be saved except through the counsel of the Torah, as it is written: “If there be among you a man who is not pure due to a nocturnal emission (מקרה לילה)”— “Who is not pure” is precisely stated, meaning he was born through a spirit of impurity (as discussed earlier). “Nocturnal emission (מקרה לילה)” is also precise, referring to when it occurs in sleep, in a dream. And we have already established these matters through the advice of the Holy Torah, as it is written: “And you shall sanctify yourselves and be holy, for I am Hashem<\/a> your God.” Then, no harm will befall him.
\nNotes:
\nMost people cannot comprehend or perceive spiritual impurity in its deeper forms. That is why it is essential to follow the path of Torah, mitzvot, and halachic observance, which serve as boundaries and purification tools. Rather than seeking hidden dangers or decoding spiritual pitfalls independently, one should rely on Torah sages and spiritual clarity—for only with holiness can one safely engage the hidden secrets.
\nThe Zohar urges every person to wake up from spiritual blindness and recognize that the only true protection and healing is through the holy Torah. It highlights how impurity can enter even through something as natural as a dream.
