Rephaim and Anakim are considered equivalent in their destructive impact. These are the ones who return the world to Tohu vaVohu &mdash; chaos and desolation. The secret of the matter: &ldquo;&#1493;&#1456;&#1492;&#1464;&#1488;&#1464;&#1512;&#1462;&#1509; &#1492;&#1464;&#1497;&#1456;&#1514;&#1464;&#1492; &#1514;&#1465;&#1492;&#1493;&#1468; &#1493;&#1464;&#1489;&#1465;&#1492;&#1493;&#1468;&rdquo; &ldquo;And the earth was without form and void&rdquo; (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sefaria.org\/Genesis.1.2?lang=bi&amp;with=all&amp;lang2=en\" target=\"_blank\">Genesis 1:2<\/a>) &mdash; this refers to the destruction of the Temple. For the Temple is the foundation and settlement of the world. When it is destroyed, the world returns to chaos. Their arrogance contributes to the destruction of the spiritual foundation of the world &mdash; the Temple. Alongside the Rephaim, they are considered spiritually destructive forces.
