Tikkun 69<\/strong> – 4<\/p>\n

Genesis 9:13<\/a>
\n“אֶת-קַשְׁתִּי, נָתַתִּי בֶּעָנָן; וְהָיְתָה לְאוֹת בְּרִית, בֵּינִי וּבֵין הָאָרֶץ ”
\n“I have set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between Me and the earth”<\/p>\n

The covenant mentioned here is God’s promise to Noah that he will not bring total destruction or flood on earth again.
\nGenesis 9:11<\/a>
\n“וַהֲקִמֹתִי אֶת-בְּרִיתִי אִתְּכֶם, וְלֹא-יִכָּרֵת כָּל-בָּשָׂר עוֹד מִמֵּי הַמַּבּוּל; וְלֹא-יִהְיֶה עוֹד מַבּוּל, לְשַׁחֵת הָאָרֶץ”
\n“And I will establish My covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of the flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.’ ”<\/p>\n

The word קשת, ‘bow’ (rainbow) also has the meaning of hardship.<\/p>\n

1 Samuel 1:15<\/a>
\n“ וַתַּעַן חַנָּה וַתֹּאמֶר, לֹא אֲדֹנִי, אִשָּׁה קְשַׁת-רוּחַ אָנֹכִי, וְיַיִן וְשֵׁכָר לֹא שָׁתִיתִי; וָאֶשְׁפֹּךְ אֶת-נַפְשִׁי, לִפְנֵי יְהוָה”
\n“And Hannah answered and said: ‘No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful (קְשַׁת) spirit; I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but I poured out my soul before HVH”<\/p>\n

The Zohar brings this reference to show the judgment element in the word קשת, “bow”.<\/p>\n

The two letters קש means ‘straw’, which is what’s leftover after the wheat grains is taken out. It represents lack of light. The third letter is ת, represents Malchut<\/a> that doesn’t have light of its own.<\/p>\n

When we connect properly to the light in Malchut<\/a> we connect the Hה (of Malchut<\/a>) to קש and get הקש and השק. It means connecting to the circular light with righteous actions, keeping the covenant at the level of Yessod<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If seeds of light (spiritual and physical aspects of seeds) are spilled through the Yessod<\/a> level we break the covenant from our side and we lose the light. We stays with קש which is difficulties and hardship in the Tikkun process.<\/p>\n

The righteous people connect ל to קש and get שקל that relates to holiness. Numbers 7:13<\/a> “shekel of the sanctuary”. This connection to the central column in truth connects to עד, ‘witness’. The opposite cause the ד to lose the tip (Yod י) on the top right of the letter. This transforms the ד to Resh ר and make רע, means “bad”.<\/p>\n

The seven colors of the rainbow represent the seven Sefirot of the Lower level. These colors are revealed when we ‘break’ the flow of pure white light.<\/p>\n

When we see a rainbow we should give thanks to God for not destroying the world and also we can pause for a moment and think about stopping our actions that break the flow of light from coming into our lives.<\/p>\n
