We continue the subject of the seven “Havalim” from Ecclesiastes 1:2<\/a><\/p>\n

Psalms 29:7<\/a>
\n“ קוֹל-יְהוָה חֹצֵב; לַהֲבוֹת אֵשׁ.”
\n“The voice of YHVH<\/a> hews out flames of fire.”<\/p>\n

Psalms 29 that we sing on Friday nights, mentions seven ‘voices’ of YHVH<\/a>. Every voice produces vapor, הבל, same letters as להב, meaning a flame. In plural it is “הבלים Havalim”, flames. Fire is a force of transformation in this world. The verse tells us that the voice of God produces light and brings change and transformation.<\/p>\n

Previously the Zohar connected the seven names of the Ana B’Koach
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nto the seven ‘vapors’ from Ecclesiastes 1:2<\/a> and the seven lights that come from the ‘openings’ in the ‘face’ of Adam Kadmon. The openings are two eyes, two ears, two nostrils and one month.<\/p>\n

The voices that come out of the mouth have the fire that is the warmth of the lungs. A human vapor is a tiny example to the process of creation. As the vapor comes out, the water that is in it gets condensed and includes minerals.<\/p>\n

With one process we have a sound, vapor (air and water), fire from the warmth and earth from the minerals. In the actual spiritual process the light, through different levels of Tzimzum, becomes ‘thicker’, gets ‘trapped’ in the ‘wheels’ and acquires identity of matter.<\/p>\n

The Zohar here, teaches us that the Ana B’Koach is the force that created the worlds. If we know the secrets of the seven names, then with proper meditation in our heart and mind we can connect upper (Binah<\/a>) and lower Shechina (Malchut<\/a>). This will give us the power to manifest and make things happen in this world.<\/p>\n

Psalms 29 with description of the seven ‘voices’ of God is a testimony to that power.<\/p>\n
