Tikkun 69<\/strong> – 48<\/p>\n

A bride that was married to her beloved one fell sick because he went far away. Many healers came to her but couldn’t understand why she was sick. Some were giving her drinks made of apples, some of pomegranate but nothing helped her.<\/p>\n

A special healer came and checked her pulse. She said to him (Song of Songs 5:2<\/a>) “קוֹל דּוֹדִי דוֹפֵק” “The voice of my beloved knocks (דופק, pulse)”
\nHe answered “פִּתְחִי-לִי”, “open for me”<\/p>\n

The Zohar explains that the healer meant ‘open for the Y י’, which is the aspect of the 10 Sefirot and the ‘pulses’ of life.
\nThe voice is the aspect of Vav, Zeir Anpin<\/a>, that is the gate to the supernal<\/a> light.<\/p>\n

There are few lessons to learn from this short story that the Zohar brings. One of them is teaching us the power that we have to heal ourselves. The distance from the light is the cause of all ills. All the healers and the best medicine of this world would not be sufficient if we don’t open our vessels for the light to come in.<\/p>\n

On the physical level our body is subject to the process of time and the law of entropy. No matter how rich you are, you cannot stop the impact of time on the body.
\nOur favorite childhood celebrities don’t look better than our neighbor at the same age no matter how new or expensive their makeup, plastic surgeries or clothing are.<\/p>\n

A personal chef, expensive super foods, personal trainers and a house on top of a mountain don’t add life, not in this world and not on the next one.<\/p>\n

It doesn’t matter how beaten our body is, the only life that we all should seek is life for the soul and that can be achieved only with openness to the light.<\/p>\n
