Tikkun 69<\/strong> – 71<\/p>\n

Genesis 2:17<\/a>
\n“וּמֵעֵץ, הַדַּעַת טוֹב וָרָע–לֹא תֹאכַל, מִמֶּנּוּ: כִּי, בְּיוֹם אֲכָלְךָ מִמֶּנּוּ–מוֹת תָּמוּת”
\n“but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.’”<\/p>\n

Adam and Eve were pure creations of God but they failed to follow the one important instruction of avoiding the Tree of Knowledge Good and Bad. They brought on themselves and everyone after them, mortality.<\/p>\n

One of our major elements of our Tikkun is to separate ourselves from the bad and bring out the Good in everything.<\/p>\n

Mixing the bad with the good injects ‘poison’ and that ‘kills’ the good.<\/p>\n

Numbers 19:20<\/a>
\n“וְאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר-יִטְמָא וְלֹא יִתְחַטָּא, וְנִכְרְתָה הַנֶּפֶשׁ הַהִוא מִתּוֹךְ הַקָּהָל: כִּי אֶת-מִקְדַּשׁ יְהוָה טִמֵּא, מֵי נִדָּה לֹא-זֹרַק עָלָיו–טָמֵא הוּא”
\n“But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of YHVH<\/a>; the water of sprinkling hath not been dashed against him: he is unclean”<\/p>\n

Our pure soul is dressed in a body, which is the aspect of the ‘Bad’ side of the Tree of Knowledge Good and Bad. Because we lost many sparks of light to the Klipah<\/a> we need to have the body act as a tool to ‘redeem’ the light from the Klipah<\/a> and reconnect them back to the Good side of the Tree of Knowledge Good and Bad.<\/p>\n

Only on Shabbat the soul takes a ‘vacation’ from work and dedicates itself to enjoy and connect to the upper light of Binah<\/a> with the proper connections of listening to Torah, reading and scanning Zohar.<\/p>\n
