\nאָמְרוּ לוֹ: יָדַעְנוּ שֶׁמַּחֲשָׁבָה הִיא אָדָם קַדְמוֹן, מ”ה שֶׁלְּמַעְלָה, מַ”ה שְּׁמוֹ, מַעֲשֶׂה כ”ח שֶׁלּוֹ, עֶשְׂרִים וּשְׁמוֹנֶה אוֹתִיּוֹת שֶׁל מַעֲשֶׂה שֶׁל בְּרֵאשִׁית בָּרָא וְכוּ’, וְהַכֹּל חָכְמָה, כֹּחַ מָה, אִם כֵּן בַּמָּה הָיוּ יְכוֹלִים לַחֲטֹא כָּאן? אָמַר לָהֶם: בְּוַדַּאי כָּל מִי שֶׁחָטָא בְגוּפוֹ שֶׁשָּׁם הַמַּעֲשֶׂה, וּבְנִשְׁמָתוֹ שֶׁשָּׁם הַמַּחֲשָׁבָה, כְּאִלּוּ חָטָא בְאוֹתוֹ שֶׁהוּא נִבְרָא בִדְמוּתוֹ. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב וַיִּבְרָא אֱלֹהִי”ם אֶת הָאָדָם בְּצַלְמוֹ וְכוּ’.\n

Tikkun 69<\/strong> – 86<\/p>\n

The Zohar raises a question about why wicked people are treated as righteous in this world. They are rich, live in peace and have a long life. So why do they get this honor?<\/p>\n

Rabbi Shimon explained that all the riches they have in this world have no value. They were evil in previous life but also made few good actions that required a reward. For some reason their life was not completed before God could ‘pay’ them. They come to this life to get paid because the process of cause and effect goes through different incarnations and the next verses explain that.<\/p>\n

Deuteronomy 7:10<\/a>
\n“וּמְשַׁלֵּם לְשֹׂנְאָיו אֶל-פָּנָיו, לְהַאֲבִידוֹ: לֹא יְאַחֵר לְשֹׂנְאוֹ, אֶל-פָּנָיו יְשַׁלֶּם-לוֹ”
\n“and repayeth them that hate Him to their face, to destroy them; He will not be slack to him that hateth Him, He will repay him to his face.”<\/p>\n

Ecclesiastes 8:10<\/a>
\n“וּבְכֵן רָאִיתִי רְשָׁעִים קְבֻרִים וָבָאוּ, וּמִמְּקוֹם קָדוֹשׁ יְהַלֵּכוּ, וְיִשְׁתַּכְּחוּ בָעִיר, אֲשֶׁר כֵּן-עָשׂוּ; גַּם-זֶה, הָבֶל.”
\n“And so I saw the wicked buried, and they entered into their rest; but they that had done right went away from the holy place, and were forgotten in the city; this also is vanity”<\/p>\n

Most people that connect to the Zohar experienced ‘suffering of love’ (See Daily Zohar #844). Even if we are ‘loaded’ with all the money that we need for this lifetime and for the rest of the family for generations, our experience brought us to the realization that living in this world is temporary and there are great reasons to why we need to seek and be closer to the light of the Creator.<\/p>\n

This life time is part of the tikun process<\/a> and we should embrace pain and hardship as events that can make us better and expand our vessel. Our money and energy are not for building great castles for our family but only for the purpose of using it wisely to better the world around us.<\/p>\n

An evil rich person grabs all that he can from others without mercy or consideration. They bring death to their soul and sooner or later they lose it all.<\/p>\n

A good rich person is the one who was born to channel the energy of money to be strong and help others. He knows that being rich in this life time is not about ‘Thank you God for giving me a great comfortable life’. It is about helping others on the material and spiritual levels while keeping their channels pure and growing.<\/p>\n

Rabbi Ashlag lived a simple life. He kept a day job to sustain his family and was teaching Kabbalah for free. All the support he received was dedicated to complete his Zohar project of “The Sulam”. He was very rich in his soul and shared it with millions of students around the world through the biggest Kabbalah organizations that use his teachings in their books and classrooms. The spiritual ‘interest’ keeps accumulating into his spiritual account long after he passed away. His work merited him a great seat next to Rabbi Shimon.<\/p>\n

Even if you are ‘poor’ in money, you can never be poor in spirit. There are always free study sources and people to share them with and get richer. <\/p>\n
