Genesis 1:27<\/a>
\n“ וַיִּבְרָא אֱלֹהִים אֶת-הָאָדָם בְּצַלְמוֹ, בְּצֶלֶם אֱלֹהִים בָּרָא אֹתוֹ”
\n“And God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him”<\/p>\n

The Torah mentions two aspect of the creation of Adam. One is defined as “And God CREATED” and the second is “Then YHVH<\/a> יהוה God אלהים FORMED”.<\/p>\n

‘Created’ means a new form of light that never existed before. ‘Formed’ means, shaping new from an existing energy\/matter.
\nThe Zohar distinguishes between the two Adams. One was “created” in the Creator’s image, meaning as pure energy and without any physical body. This is the reference to Adam Kadmon, which is the first emanation<\/a> to the light and the Ten Sefirot.<\/p>\n

The other Adam was “formed” from the energy of Chokmah<\/a> and Binah<\/a> with a physical body and spiritual essence of the Ten Sefirot that came out of Adam Kadmon.<\/p>\n

The Alef of the Endless includes two Yods and a Vav. They gave the aspect of upper and lower to physical Adam.
\n“In his own image” is the aspect of the lower Shechina, “in the image of God” is the aspect of the upper Shechina.
\nThe צר are the middle letters of the Ana B’Koach that gives it the power of creation in the physical level.
