Elijah came down following a special invitation from Rabbi Shimon. He explains the levels of the Shechina.<\/p>\n

Song of Songs 7:8<\/a>
\n“זֹאת קוֹמָתֵךְ דָּמְתָה לְתָמָר, וְשָׁדַיִךְ לְאַשְׁכֹּלוֹת ”
\n“This thy stature is like to a palm-tree, and thy breasts to clusters”<\/p>\n

Elijah quotes this verse and says that the Shechina is like a palm tree, tall and fruitful.<\/p>\n

Leviticus 23:40<\/a> “ וּלְקַחְתֶּם לָכֶם בַּיּוֹם הָרִאשׁוֹן, פְּרִי עֵץ הָדָר כַּפֹּת תְּמָרִים, וַעֲנַף עֵץ-עָבֹת, וְעַרְבֵי-נָחַל; וּשְׂמַחְתֶּם, לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם–שִׁבְעַת יָמִים”
\n“And ye shall take you on the first day the fruit of citrus trees, branches of palm-trees, and boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook, and ye shall rejoice before YHVH<\/a> your God seven days.”<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The Shechina is like a flawless Lulav that is straight up and its leaves doesn’t split. Like the Lulav, the Shechina connects to Yessod<\/a> and Zeir Anpin<\/a> and it is like the ‘spine’ of the body and the aspect of Tiferet<\/a>, central column. It is the secret of the Tree of Life<\/a>. The 5 branches of the Lulav are three on the right side for Chessed<\/a>, Gevurah<\/a> and Tiferet<\/a> of Yessod<\/a> and on the left two branches for Netzach<\/a> and Hod<\/a>. The Palm branch in the middle is Yessod<\/a> itself that is like the letter ו Vav and connects the six elements together. Etrog, which is the Citrus fruit, is for Malchut<\/a> and can be connected to the six only after a special blessing.<\/p>\n

There are many secrets to the usage of the Lulav during the holiday of Sukkot. It comes after Rosh Hashanah, which is a court day of 48 hours and Yom Kippur that is the day the verdict is given. On Sukkot we shake the Lulav to six directions (4 + up and down) in order to receive the light allocated for us on Yom Kippur for the entire year.<\/p>\n

This study from Elijah teaches us that by connecting to the Shechina through the Zohar and spiritual connections, we are able to draw continuous light to the world and into our lives.<\/p>\n
