The day of the new moon or immediately after. When the new moon starts on the last day of the month, we celebrate two days of Rosh Chodesh. In such a case, the second day is always the first day of the new month.On Rosh Chodesh, a new light appears in the world, and as the celestial element closer to earth, we are strongly affected by its position to other planets and distance from earth.It&amp;#039;s a positive day, and we make more studies and spiritual connections to draw greater Light on this day. In the Holy Temple, the priest sacrificed a goat to give the other side something to get busy with while we benefit from the Light revealed on that day. It&amp;#039;s a good day to give Tzedakah and light candles for Tzadikim. Even if there is no hilulah of Tzadikim on that day, some have the custom to light a candle for Rabbi Meir Baal Haness to receive protection and miracles during the coming month&lt;\/div&gt;\" href=\"https:\/\/staging.dailyzohar.com\/?glossary=rosh-chodesh-2\" data-gt-translate-attributes=\"[{&quot;attribute&quot;:&quot;data-cmtooltip&quot;, &quot;format&quot;:&quot;html&quot;}]\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Rosh Chodesh<\/a> Elul, and after 40 days&ndash;on Yom Kippur&ndash;Moses came down with the second set of tablets, bringing the new Torah to the world.<\/p>\n<p>During those 40 days, Moses created openings for the Light of Mercy and the ability to cleanse our souls in order to receive the Torah. This was part of the cleansing process of this month, so this is our opportunity to cleanse our souls during this month in order to receive the great light on Yom Kippur.<\/p>\n<p>The world was created on the 25th of Elul. On that day, we also have the Hilulah (Death Anniversary) of Rabbi Elazar, the son of Rabbi Shimon. They both brought to the world the Tikunei Zohar with the teaching of Moses who is called in the Zohar &lsquo;Ra&rsquo;yah Meheimnah&rsquo; (The <a class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Faithful Shepherd&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;The Faithful Shepherd (Hebrew: &#1512;&#1506;&#1497;&#1488; &#1502;&#1492;&#1497;&#1502;&#1504;&#1488;) is the name that the Zohar refers to Moses when he comes to support and add to Rabbi Shimon in his studies.There was a separate book, &amp;quot;The Faithful Shepherd&amp;quot; &amp;quot;&#1505;&#1508;&#1512; &#1512;&#1506;&#1497;&#1488; &#1502;&#1492;&#1497;&#1502;&#1504;&#1488;&amp;quot; with this name, but the first editors of the Zohar inserted different parts from it where it is most related to the subject discussed in the Zohar.&lt;\/div&gt;\" href=\"https:\/\/staging.dailyzohar.com\/?glossary=faithful-shepherd\" data-gt-translate-attributes=\"[{&quot;attribute&quot;:&quot;data-cmtooltip&quot;, &quot;format&quot;:&quot;html&quot;}]\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Faithful Shepherd<\/a>) and Elijah the Prophet, who is Pinchas.<\/p>\n<p>The Tikunei Zohar is comprised of 70 studies on the first word of the Torah, &#1489;&#1512;&#1488;&#1513;&#1497;&#1514;, &ldquo;In the Beginning.&rdquo; They connect us to the seed level of Creation, the first six letters of the Ana B&rsquo;Koach, &#1488;&#1489;&#1490; &#1497;&#1514;&#1509;, and the 70 inner levels of the Torah. This gives the Tikunei Zohar the immense power to cleanse the soul and prepare us for the days of judgment of Rosh Hashanah and the day of reward, Yom Kippur.<\/p>\n<p>There are positive spiritual energies available to us this month. Stay on the right path and focus on Tikunei Zohar book.<\/p>\n<p>Most people don&rsquo;t have the Tikunei Zohar in their library as it is not included in the regular sets of the five books of the Torah.
