This act removes judgment from our case when it is presented in the upper court.<br>\nOur actions may have caused others to feel some kind of pain that has raised a judgment against us and placed an item of correction on our Tikkun list. Asking for forgiveness removes this item from the list and is important especially before Rosh Hashanah. We want to stand before the court of truth that cannot be lied to, as clean as possible at least with deep regrets on any harm we have done to others. <\/p>\n<p>I decided to write this short article as a result of an email I received from a friend. He sent me the message below to post on DZ. It gave me the idea of creating a page for everyone to be able to ask forgiveness for their wrong actions. Expressing regrets and asking for forgiveness in a public forum has a greater cleansing effect.  As a child, I remember that before the prayer of Rosh Hashanah many would come to the center of the synagogue and ask the congregation for forgiveness. Some asked directly from a specific person and some asked all of them for forgiveness.<br>\nYou may ask forgiveness from alive people or not.  Past or current relationships. Whatever is on your chest, take it off. Obviously it is better to call the people directly but if you can&rsquo;t, let it be said here. <\/p>\n<p><strong>To make forgiveness work, you need to have deep regrets on the past actions and commitment to never repeat them in the future.<\/strong><br>\nPlease do not reveal other people&rsquo;s names. You may use initials but never a full name unless this person is on the DZ. In that case, you can use the exact name they use to present themselves. (Some use aliases).<br>\nHere is the first request for forgiveness and the cause of this page. Being a cause, he merits the cleansing process that is channeled through this page.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>From <a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Zion&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Zion is the connecting point of Yessod of Malchut. It is called &amp;quot;Mount Zion&rdquo; because it is the higher level where we can see the Light. It is the center of the world. The first letter of &#1497;&#1505;&#1493;&#1491;,&nbsp;Yessod, is Yod to tell us that it includes the light from the highest level. The word &#1497;&#1505;&#1493;&#1491; has a numerical value of 80 to tell us that it is spread from the level of Chokmah&nbsp;down with the ability to connect to&nbsp;Malchut. Jerusalem is Malchut and below Yesod.Jerusalem of the lower level is dark without the light from the &lsquo;Mount of Zion&rsquo; that brings completion and fulfillment.Jerusalem is considered &amp;#039;sick&amp;#039; without the constant flow of Light from the Holy Temple. That is why Jerusalem is a code word for the soul&rsquo;s yearning for the light, feeling sick without it.This aspect is revealed in the name &amp;#039;Jerusalem&amp;#039; itself (Check the term Jerusalem).&amp;amp;nbsp;&lt;\/div&gt;\"  href=\"https:\/\/staging.dailyzohar.com\/?glossary=zion\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex='0' role='link'>Zion<\/a> <a class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Soul levels&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Soul levels&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Nefesh&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt; is the lower level of Light in the body but is the most important to sustain the life of a person. The Liver is the control center of the Nefesh in the body.&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Ruach&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt; is higher and comes from Zeir Anpin. We achieve this additional light in this world by following the ways of the Torah with the general rule &amp;quot;Do good and avoid bad&rdquo;. The Heart is the center for the Ruach.&amp;lt;strong&amp;gt;Neshama&amp;lt;\/strong&amp;gt; is the highest level of Light that can be achieved in this world. Righteous people that already have the level of Ruach and act selflessly for the benefit of others, can achieve the level of Neshama. Since it&rsquo;s the highest level, it connects to the brain.The higher-level of the soul controls the level below it. Neshamah and Ruach can leave the person if he loses the righteous path. The level of Nefesh is removed only at the time of death, meaning when the heart stops and there is no blood circulation in the body.The other two levels of the soul are Chaya and Yechida, but they can only connect to the soul outside the body because their level of purity can not have a physical connection in this world.&lt;\/div&gt;\" href=\"https:\/\/staging.dailyzohar.com\/?glossary=soul-levels\" data-gt-translate-attributes=\"[{&quot;attribute&quot;:&quot;data-cmtooltip&quot;, &quot;format&quot;:&quot;html&quot;}]\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Nefesh<\/a>: &ldquo;To everyone on the DZ and in my life, please forgive me for anything I have said and made you feel hurt or uncomfortable knowingly or unknowingly. Forgive me for promises I forgot to keep (Please remind me). <\/p>\n<p>To my wife; Please forgive me for not giving you all the support and the attention deserved.
