It helps us improve our souls and or &#039;pay&#039; for past sins. This process can continue through many lifetimes. It will end in the Final Redemption. </div>" href="https://staging.dailyzohar.com/?glossary=correction-process" data-gt-translate-attributes="[{"attribute":"data-cmtooltip", "format":"html"}]" tabindex="0" role="link">Tikun process is the act of mercy from God. It helps us correct the wrongs and impurities we carry from previous or current life. The punishment is when God ‘ignores’ us (hiding his face, הסתר פנים) and as a result we are ‘drifted’ to the negative side.

This is an important teaching because it puts the responsibility in our hands. We must stay closer to the light so we won’t make mistakes that could distance us farther from the light. If we do, we can expect a great mercy to come in the next life in a form of bigger and harder Tikkun process. I must admit that it took me a little time to understand the depth of this revelation by Rabbi Ashlag.

A harder Tikkun doesn’t mean poverty or health problems. A greedy person may become richer in next life; require dealing with a greater energy in his hands. Would he use it for more actions and businesses based on greed or would he use the opportunity to channel that power in the proper directions? We know people that no matter what they do, they succeed in business. They may fall a few times but they quickly recover. Why? Because their Tikkun is of the aspect of what to do with the money or any kind of achievements. That is why they don’t need to work hard to get there.

I don’t mean that rich people should throw their money toward the light and charities. It is not about giving a billion dollars away and finish with the Tikkun. They are responsible to maintain a flow of energy in the right direction. Not every ‘pan handler’ (organizations) is honest or has a proper vessel to do the work of the light. Some will use the money for a bottle of alcohol (desire for the self) before bringing home (to the true people in need) few coins.

Psalms 75:8 “כִּי-אֱלֹהִים שֹׁפֵט; זֶה יַשְׁפִּיל, וְזֶה יָרִים.”
“For God is judge; He put down one, and lift up another.”

God is just and the system is absolute truth. At first we need to know that this is not an ancient law. Gravity was there in day one of Creation and still is.
